Almyt A. Poblete

Almyt is an environmental biologist  working at the convergence of ecological theory, spatial technology, and real-world environmental decision-making. His work spans environmental modeling, ecosystem management, and the valuation of ecosystem services — essentially putting numbers and frameworks to the natural systems that communities and economies depend on, but rarely account for properly. As a certified Environmental Impact Assessor, Almyt brings a grounded, applied dimension to his research — he is not just building models, he is directly informing the policies and projects that shape landscapes. He pairs this with a strong command of satellite-based solutions and remote sensing, using earth observation data to track, monitor, and analyze environmental change at scales that fieldwork alone cannot reach.   He represents a new generation of environmental scientists who are as fluent in geospatial technology as they are in ecology — and who understand that protecting ecosystems starts with understanding them deeply.
